Experience and Skills:

Commercialisation Mentoring and Advice:

Has provided consulting and mentoring advice to a wide range of technology companies and, in some cases, has forged partnering arrangements with large market players in the medical, lighting, engineering and manufacturing sectors. In a select number of these companies Brian has continued to work as part of the management team and/or as shareholder/director. He is an executive director of the Active Reactor Company, a successful Melbourne based technology company that provides low cost Smart City sensors and energy saving devices for sports lighting and other high wattage lights.

Grant and Funding Assistance:

Has successfully facilitated the application process for 20 Federal and State Government grants including a $1m Accelerating Commercialisation grant.

Victorian State Government “Commercialising Your New Idea” Program:

Facilitates these workshops in both the metropolitan and regional areas of Victoria and subsequently mentored many of the participants.
